The twentieth issue of Majuscule is called A Portmanteau In Every Port. The subtitle is New-word submissions. This work consists of abstract collages made out of thin strips of paper from various books.
Rub-on letters were applied, spelling out a made-up portmanteau. A portmanteau is a word which combines two separate words. The best and most well-known example of this type of wordplay is "spork", which combines "fork" and "spoon". The portmanteaus in this issue are more abstract and poetic than practical, such as combining the words "another" and "episode" to get the new word "anothersode".
The collages were displayed at Charmington's gallery over the summer.
